DAY 36 Gifts of Healing Activation

DAY 36

LESSON: 1 Peter 2:24 “He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.”
Notice the tense of the verb “heal” in the verse. Is it past, present or future? It is past tense “healed!” What is Peter trying to tell us? The passage is giving us a revelation on what happened when Jesus was crucified. He bore wounds on his body, as he was whipped by the Roman soldiers. Peter says to us, that by the wounds that he took upon himself, we are “healed.” This is very important, and if we rush over this verse, we may miss an very important insight. We are healed! Past tense. Our healing is already provided for. The person that we are praying for, their healing is already provided for. It is like having $10,000 in a bank account. You may not have the money in your hands, yet you can take certain steps to withdraw what is yours, and possess it in your hands. In the same way, Peter is telling you that healing is already yours, you simply need to take the proper steps to withdraw it so you can have it in hand. It is not a matter of “if” you can be healed. It is a matter of “when and how” you will appropriate it. Faith is the withdrawal slip!

EXERCISE CHALLENGE: Today, I want you to be bold in releasing your gift of healing. Where do people that need healing hang out? The pharmacy, the hospital, nursing home, emergency room, doctor’s office are some of the places people that need a healing miracle are present. Go out of your way, and visit a place where people are in need of healing. Ask God to highlight someone that He wants you to minister to. Begin a conversation, asking them questions about their problem, and let it flow to an opportunity to minister healing. Pray, command, release healing with faith. You do your part, and let the Lord do His part. God loves when you step out in faith!

ACTIVATION: Father, we honor You and thank You for the opportunity to partner with You to take on the impossible. Release a fresh boldness, courage and love upon each person participating in this activation. We thank You for confirming our faith with signs and wonders, and may all that occurs bring glory to You! In Jesus name, we pray! Amen
